Fêth-iki Bî

Fêth-iki Bî (/ˈeza/ /ˈiki/ [fancy] [flour]) is a temperate Town located in the Glirukmesa Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Fêth-iki Bî is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Fêth-iki Bî was founded by Shîlî Brêyêv, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Fêth-iki Bî has a yearly average temperature of 31°C (87°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a blistering 36°C (96°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a warm 27°C (80°F). Fêth-iki Bî receives an average of 187 cm/y (73 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Fêth-iki Bî covers an area of nearly 4 km² (1 mi²), and an average elevation of 12766 m (-1066 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Fêth-iki Bî was founded durring the early 11th century, by Shîlî Brêyêv. The establishment of Fêth-iki Bî was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Fêth-iki Bî's construction back out of the project. Shîlî Brêyêv pushed on reguardles, and Fêth-iki Bî was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Fêth-iki Bî was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 11th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Fêth-iki Bî is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brick construction taking the shape of large simple gemometric shapes which ate then embelished with decorative features, but retain their simple shapes in spite of the added features such as pillars, faccaddes, and covered walkways. The blocky nature gives a general impression of extreem age, as if each structure has existed since time immemorial.

Fêth-iki Bî is is constructed arround a semi-circular crampt cobblestone mainstreet, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town rests behind the absurdity that is a thick, timber braced, wall made of clay bricks. While visualy impressive and certainly an astetic, Fêth-iki Bî's wall provides no actual defence against siege equipment due to the choice of its cosntruction materials. Even nonexperts can tell the town is trying to impress rather than defend with its walls, towers, and gatehouses. Though admittedly, they do look nice... To primitive tribals who have never seen fortifications before. The political statment focused walls has suffered a visible ammount of structural damage, leaving them effectivly useless. One can't help but wonder why the has not yet effected repairs.

A look around Fêth-iki Bî gives the unmistakable impression the town is one of the strictest places imaginable. Everyone’s actions are clearly directed by laws they keep in heart and mind at all times. Orderly byond order is a phrase which Fêth-iki Bî brings to mind.

Civic Infrastructure

Fêth-iki Bî has an animal control department which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the control, impoundment, and disposition of animals.

Fêth-iki Bî has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Fêth-iki Bî.

Fêth-iki Bî has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

Fêth-iki Bî has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Fêth-iki Bî has a Hall of Slayers, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Fêth-iki Bî has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Fêth-iki Bî's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Fêth-iki Bî has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Fêth-iki Bî has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Fêth-iki Bî is home to a University which provides higher education in a variety of fields, and also serves as a research institute for those same fields.

Cultural Notes

Fêth-iki Bî is home to a distinct subculture, who are either the majority here or have the dominant positions in the community. Architecture, local laws, and social customs are all tuned to suit them, and they may not be particularly forgiving or friendly to the major culture of the region. Communities that are not outright independent usually make an arm's-length submission to a local lord.

Fêth-iki Bî's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by order, symmetry, formal design, grandiosity, and elaborate ornamentation. Architectural characteristics include balustrades, balconies, columns, cornices, pilasters, and triangular pediments. Stone exteriors are massive and grandiose in their symmetry; interiors are typically polished and lavishly decorated with sculptures, swags, medallions, flowers, and shields. Interiors will often have a grand stairway and opulent ballroom..

Economy
